Harmony Day 2017 – Wednesday 22 March 2017

Congratulations to Dot and all of us for a lovely Harmony Day event this year on 22 March 2017 in the Manningham Council Function rooms. All the participants and families gave me feedback that they really enjoyed the event. From the perspective of the Meet and Greet Team, the numbers were manageable as was the seating which created a positive vibe. Guests enjoyed the warm welcome.

The performers put their best foot forward and the level of excellence was much appreciated.

Everyone I met commented on the celebration of diversity and the embrace of oneness palpable in the room!

The school children told me that they learnt more in one evening about all faiths and cultures in Manningham than they probably would in a term. The variety of cakes were polished with gusto by young and old.

The tables outside were great sharing information and artifacts and thanks to Amad and UMMA for feeding the hungry hordes with delicious dates.
